We are located at 12 Dixon Street, Masterton (opposite Queen Elizabeth Park).

It takes approximately 90 minutes to drive from Wellington and Palmerston North on SH2. Pukaha Mount Bruce is approximately 20 minutes north of us, the wine region of Martinborough approximately 25 minutes south and Wairarapa towns of Carterton and Greytown just 10 and 15 minutes away, respectively.

Opening times and entrance fee

We are open 10am — 4pm daily.

FREE entry in to our retail shop, full of elegant wool items and souvenirs and the Golden Shears Wall of Fame.

Modest Museum cover charges are in place with discounts for families and under 5 children are free.
